Explore Dundurn Castle
Built-in 1835, Dundurn Castle is as close as you’ll get to an authentic Regency-style mano house anywhere in Canada. This beautiful castle took 3 years and $175,000 to build.

Visit Battlefield House Museum and Park
Visit one of the first houses to be built in Stoney Creek, Battlefield House was the home of the Gage family from 1796 until 1835. During these settlement years of the early 19th century, James and Mary Gage cleared and worked the land with their ten children and became known for their warm hospitality.
The war of 1812 had a direct impact on the Gage family as they found themselves confined to their home when American soldiers occupied their land when a battle broke out during the early morning hours of June 6, 1813.
Experience a guided tour of this homestead and don’t miss the re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek the first weekend of June. Be sure to visit the 100 foot tall Battlefield monument erected as a symbol of peace and to commemorate those soldiers who dies at the Battle of Stoney Creek.

Walk Through The Royal Botanical Gardens
For nearly 8 decades, Royal NBotanical Gardens has connected people to the plant world. For nearly 80 years the Royal Botanical Gardens has been an ecological jewel at the western tip of Lake Ontario.
Designated as a national historical site, it is known for its extensive 300 acres of display gardens. What makes it so unique is that it also protects and stewards over 2400 acres of environmentally sensitive lands and diverse ecosystems that connect Niagara escarpments to Lake Ontario.
The gardens are broken into a number of areas, one of the largest being Hendrie Park, the largest cultivated garden in Royal Botanical Gardens.
