I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream!
The weather is getting hotter and sunnier, so it’s 100% ice cream season now! Who doesn’t like a nice refreshing ice cream cone on a warm sunny day right??
The GTA is full of fantastic ice cream shops with beautiful outdoor patios. From classic flavours like chocolate and vanilla to whacky and creative flavours like banana pudding and bubble gum, the GTA is the best place to try new flavours.
Team Smulders had put together a list of the best ice cream shops to check out this weekend.
Dutch Dreams
Location: 36 Vaughan Road, Toronto, ON
Hours: 12 PM – 11 PM
Dutch Dreams was created by the Aben Family in the 1980s and is fashioned in the Dutch style to pay homage to the family heritage. This multicultural ice cream destination is known for its kosher ice cream flavours and tasty pancake and waffle cones. With over 15 flavours, you are surely bound to find something you love!
What we recommend: Team Smulders recommends trying their Moose Droppings ice cream with their waffles cone! It’s such a rich flavour full of peanut butter cups and fudge!

Murphys Ice Cream Parlour
Location: 9 Main St. Mississauga
Hours: 2 PM – 10 PM
Murphys Ice Cream is located in the heart of Streetsville. This is the place to be if you want to have delicious ice cream and sit on a beautiful patio or take a walk and look at all the shops along the strip of downtown Streetsville. With colorful ice cream flavours, delicious cones, and amazing toppings, you will want to keep going back for more!

The Purple Pony Ice Cream Shop
Location: 346 Wilson Street East, Ancaster
Hours: Opening back up this Spring!
The Purple Pony Ice Cream Shop specializes in good quality classic hard scooped ice cream. Open since 2006, the Purple Pony strives to create a beautiful atmosphere for trying new flavours, meeting new friends and relaxing and enjoying their collection of toy purple ponies!
What we recommend: Team Smulders recommends tying their Dirty Worms ice cream! It’s chocolate ice cream with Oreo crumbs and gummy worms and it is to die for!

Cows Ice Cream
Location: 44 Queen St, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Hours: 10 AM – 7 PM
Cows Ice cream is considered a super-premium ice cream due to its higher fat content and its added high-quality ingredients made at a low speed to ensure texture and taste is not lost. From Prince Edward Island to British Columbia, Cows Ice Cream is a Canadian Favourite. Not only do they offer insanely good ice cream but they also have amazingly cute merch for sale!
What we recommend: Team Smulders recommends trying their Gooey Mooey ice cream cone. It is burnt sugar ice cream (vanilla ice cream mixed with English toffee), English toffee marble, caramel cups, and chocolate flakes!

Kelly’s Bake Shoppe
Location: 401 Brant St, Burlington
Hours: 9 AM – 9 PM
This mother and daughter-owned bakeshop offer mouth-watering plant-based, gluten-free, peanut-free, and dairy-free desserts! Located in the heart of Downtown Burlington, right by the water, this ice cream/bake shoppe is the perfect spot! Grabe an ice cream sandwich or a cone and take a stroll by the waterfront.
