It’s Time to Swim!

This summer so far has been hot, humid, and very sunny! The best way to beat the heat is by swimming!

The GTA is full of public swimming pools but, which ones are the best? We have compiled a list of the best public swimming pools for you to check out this weekend and the rest of summer.

Birdseye Aquatic Facility

Where: 258 Water St., Port Perry
Hours: 12 – 2pm & 5 – 7pm

This outdoor pool is perfect if you want a scenic place to spend the afternoon and swim! It’s located right by the lake and is open for swimming every day. After spending the day at the pool, you can dry off at the nearby playground!

Mountainside Pool and Park

Where: 2205 Mount Forest Dr., Burlington
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm

This is the perfect outdoor family pool. They have a wading pool for little ones, where they can kick their feet and splash around safely while the big kids can enjoy the six-lane swimming pool! If you feel adventurous you can even go down their fun waterslide. This pool also has basketball courts, a skate park, and a playground.

Wild Wetland Splash Pad and Pool at Heart Lake Conservation Park

Where: 10818 Heart Lake Rd., Brampton
Hours: 9:00am – 8:00pm

This heated pool is perfect for cloudy and sunny days! Next to the pool is a wetland-themed splash pad where kids can get wild under the drooping daises,  spraying dandelions, and more. There are also some pretty amazing slides at this pool!

Sunnyside & Gus Ryder Pool

Where: 1755 Lake Shore BLVD W, Toronto
Hours: 10:15am – 7:45pm

This pool is located minutes away from downtown Toronto. Enjoy a dip at this outdoor pool, grab something to eat at the Sunnyside Pavilion, and play volleyball at the beach located right in front of the pool!

Streetsville Outdoor Pool

Where: 335 Church St. Mississauga
Hours: 9am – 9pm

Enjoy this outdoor pool located in the heart of Streetsville. Close to many amenities and beside a beautiful walking path, this outdoor pool is perfect to spend the whole day at! Did we mention there is also a water slide and diving board?

Chedoke Outdoor Pool

Where: 90 W 25th St., Hamilton
Hours: 1:00 – 4:00pm & 5:00 – 7:00pm

This pool is the perfect spot to take your family on a hot summer’s day! With the pool being medium-sized, you can keep an eye on your kids easily and enjoy the comfort of a well-maintained pool.
