This summer, get out and explore the amazing Zoos and Aquariums the GTA has to offer! Learn about animals from around the world and create new memories with your friends and family at these fun and adventurous places.

Here are the aquariums and zoos you can check out this weekend and the rest of summer!

Toronto Zoo

Where: 2000 Meadowvale Rd, Toronto
Hours: 9:00am – 7:00pm

The Toronto Zoo is the largest zoo in Canada and is divided into seven zoogeographic regions: Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Tundra Trek, Australiasia, Eurasia, and the Canadian Domain.

High Park Zoo

Where: 11 Deer Pen Road, Toronto
Hours: 9:00am – 7:00pm

This zoo includes a fenced-off grassy area for animals like capybara, bison, llamas, and even rabbits that children can pet and play with.

Killman Zoo

Where: 237 Unity Side Road East, Caledonia
Hours: 10:00am – 5:00pm

Killman Zoo is located approximately 4 kilometers or 2.5 miles north of Caledonia. This wildlife sanctuary sits on 9 acres of land that house many rare species of endangered animals.

African Lion Safari

Where: 1386 Cooper Road, Hamilton
Hours: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Africa, Tanzania, Serengeti National Park – March 2016: Jeep tourists photograph the pride of the lions.

The park is comprised of over 750 acres, 250 of which provide animals with large areas of bush, grasslands, or forest in which they can interact naturally with other animals. In several Game Reserves, mixed species roam and interact as they would in the wild.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Where: 288 Bremner Boulevard, Toronto
Hours: 9:00am – 11:00pm

This aquarium consists of two level full of different attractions to explore.

Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing

Hours: 10:00am – 5:00pm

Bird Kingdom

Where: 5651 River Road Niagara Falls
Hours: 9:00am – 5:45pm

Bird Kingdom is the World’s Largest Free-Flying Indoor Aviary. Discover hundreds of tropical birds as you explore the pathways throughout the multi-level rainforest. Meet friendly parrots and exotic animals at Bird Kingdom’s Animal Encounters.
