Canada Just Got Ranked No. 1 Country in the World and We Are So Happy!
That’s right! Canada has been ranked the number one country in the world in the annual 2021 Best Countries Report.
For the first time in the study’s history, Canada has been crowned the globe’s best country overall, knocking down Sweden which has held the title for the last 5 years.
The Best Countries report evaluated 79 nations using 76 different metrics, taking into account how countries are perceived, economics, military presence, education, quality of life, and so on.
Some key takeaways from the report:
- For the first time, Canada is the No.1 country overall. Japan and Germany finish in the No. 2 and 3 spots, while the United States ranks in the No. 6 positions.
- Canada ranks No. 1 in quality of life and social purpose. It is also looked at as having a good job market and is shown to be committed to social justice.
- Social justice is a global ambition.
- Women are viewed as effective leaders.
