We are still on that Toronto Raptors NBA championship winning high – who isn’t? What a season those players had! Hard work, dedication to their team and to the sport. And, let’s just add a wow, to all of the fans who have been watching from day one (shout-out to Superfan, Nav Bhatia), and to those who are new #WeTheNorth recruits. The past few weeks were amazing to witness, not just the game, but to see all of Canada coming together to cheer on the Toronto Raptors. And, the fun is not over! To celebrate the guys and their winning victory, today at 10 a.m. the Toronto Raptors Championship Parade presented by Tangerine will take place. The parade will start at the Princes’ Gates at Exhibition Place and will finish at Nathan Phillips Square, where a rally will cap off the festivities. Members of the team and other dignitaries will be carried in open-air double-decker buses. Fans are encouraged to wear their Raptors gear.
If you are one of the estimated 2-million expected to watch the parade, we urge you to hop on the GoTrain in Aldershot or Burlington. But, if you are expected to be at work, or can’t make it to the parade in person, watch it live on the NBA site, or on your favourite local channel. (Global will also air it live.)
Such a well deserved victory for our Toronto Raptors. Now let’s celebrate!
