We’re just going to ignore that weather app on the phone, and create our own sunshine this weekend, after all, ignorance is bliss (#amiright). Bring your friends to the Ancaster Summer Sunset Craft Show and Market at the Ancaster Fairgrounds this Saturday from 3 – 9pm. Browse through the vendor market, grab a bite to eat and listen to the music while the summer sun goes down and the stars come out.

It’s back – Sound of Music Festival! Every year in June, music takes over Burlington’s downtown and Waterfront. The largest local music event of the year features an eclectic combination of emerging artists, blasts from the past and current performers. Activities include a Grande Festival Parade, free concerts, Streetfest, Silver Series, a carnival and more. Bring the whole family to this entertaining weekend-long event.
Treat dad to a Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast at a unique outdoor pancake breakfast set in a historic backdrop at Ireland House Museum on Sunday from 9:30 – 11:30am. Pancakes will be made on the historic woodstove! Breakfast is $5.00 and includes 2 pancakes plus a drink. First come, first served. Cash, credit and debit accepted.
Dundas
Is there a better pairing than fort building and beer? If your said no, then head to Shawn & Ed Brewing Company for a fort-building contest. Using cardboard, you and your family are responsible with making the best fort ever! Price will be $5 at the door which will contain your building kit including scissors, duct tape, markers, and string. Pre-registration required.
Hamilton
This Father’s Day weekend, Come fly with us at FLYFEST and bring Dad to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum for a day of fun and flying. Many of the Museum’s vintage aircraft will be flown throughout both days but the best part is – YOU can be part of the action! Visit this Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 5pm.
#HamiltonArtsWeek runs from June 14th – 21st, starting with the James St Art Crawl and featuring a number of Hamilton Arts Council signature events including an Indigenous Music Series and the preview reception of the visual art digital archive Building Cultural Legacies. Across the City of Hamilton, you will find nearly 50 arts and cultural events taking place that demonstrate the mastery of creative practitioners and emerging artists in our community. Arts Week showcases the vibrancy of Hamilton’s arts and cultural scene. Arts Week 2019 Guides will be available for pickup at the Cotton Factory Launch Party on June 15th.
Stoney Creek
Stoney Creek BIA is hosting its first Annual Strawberry Folk Fest! This two-day event features numerous musical acts on two stages for both days. There will be strawberries to purchase and featured in food products, as well as free face painting for the kids, artisanal vendors, food trucks, and a DJ for an all ages Dance Party in the Town Parkette at King & Jones Saturday night until 11pm.
