Lauren Anastasi, working with the philosophy of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, guides you to focus on the physical experience of walking and to be aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations, as well as commune with nature. This practice can help reduce stress and increase positive emotions. The class includes instruction and 45 minutes of walking at a relaxed pace. Meeting location is emailed prior to each class.

No set distance – please walk as far as you are able in your neighbourhood. Funds raised help support women and their families living with ovarian cancer as well as advocacy and research for ovarian cancer.

Bright Run Is A Non-competitive, Family Friendly 1 Km/5 Km Walk Or Run Which Is Held Annually On The First Saturday After Labour Day. This year’s event will be VIRTUAL on Facebook Live, Saturday, September 11, 2021. To ensure the safety of our participants and volunteers given ongoing COVID-19 concerns, members of our local breast cancer community – including patients, survivors, and health care practitioners – will come together virtually, as we did in 2020, to support each other, share stories, celebrate success and remember.
